They wouldn't let poor Rudolph join in any tax planning activities

Okay, first of all: Is it just me, or does "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button" sound an awful lot like the title of a Beatrix Potter book? Seriously. I keep expecting to see Brad Pitt in a bunny costume, possibly sporting a little blue jacket, hopping through a dangerous garden in search of lettuces.

Apparently, I only read children's books and accounting texts these days.

***********

And on an unrelated note, someone recently landed on my blog by googling "reindeer financial riddles". Did anyone know there was a calling for those? Out of curiosity, are reindeer supposed to know something about finance? Or would this be more about paying for stuff with reindeer instead of cash?

Your thoughts please. And if you know any reindeer financial riddles, do share!

perhaps it was some poor accountant tasked with delivering some final financial report before they break for the holiday, and was trying to find a clever way to soften the blow that the company they work for won't be able to pay any of their employees next quarter. So he was going to launch into a Xmas themed reindeer rhyme about how their all F#*!ed

I saw reindeer in the Arctic Circle in Norway. I just like telling people that. Carry on.

LOL! Either that or a Nancy Drew book. ;)

I heard once that Santa was thinking about using a Radford scale to compute salaries for Rudulph and the gang, but that might be a red herring. Being Santa, he'd probably try to make a riddle out of the exercise (or at least a poem).

:D

Hey, I've got one:

Q: Why wouldn't the other reindeer let Rudolph play any reindeer games?

A: Because they had all lost their retiremenst in the financial crisis of 2008 and were too downhearted for games of any sort.

Q: Why did Rudolph have a blinking red nose?

A: Because he had to resort to the oldest profession in the world after listening to his stupid financial advisor.

Oh wait...that's me. Nevermind.

Rhea - I couldn't either. Bizarre!

Cap'n - LOL!! Thanks for sharing.

Michelle - Nancy Drew works too. It's just so cutesy.

goodfather - So we think Santa was surfing my blog? Cool!

Lorie - A lot of my hits are boring too. But I've started getting a few good ones.

mrsmouthy - Awesome!

Stiletto Mom - Also awesome! We all share the same plight just now. What fun!
