... my FA3 Lesson Notes, for the following passage:
"Regardless of how earnings relate to share price, higher earnings are considered more desirable than lower earnings".
It is worth noting that the same module provides a calculation of the price-earnings ratio (market price / earnings per share). And then, in the following sentence, states:
"To obtain market price, earnings per share is multiplied by the price-earnings ratio".
Hence, my FA3 Lesson Notes also win the award for "circular reasoning". (But thank you for that riveting example of cross-multiplication, which I think was first covered in grade 3.)

And the award for "Inattentive" goes to ...
... the student who posted a question to the MA1 tutor about a problem found in the FA2 textbook!
Yes, boys and girls, it is always a good idea to make sure you are reading the text that actually goes with the course you are currently taking. Otherwise, stuff like the corresponding lesson notes and audio lectures may not make much sense to you.
Just my little suggestion.

And the award for "Stupidest Non Sequitur" goes to...
...this sentence: "Katie will be having a drug-free birth, because Tom is a Scientologist".
I really don't see what one has to do with the other. When Tom tries to pass a pot roast out his butt, then Tom will be able to dictate what type of birth Tom would prefer. Is Katie a Scientologist? No? Then how does this affect her decision on how she will be handling her pain in childbirth?
No pain medication now, dear. And don't scream either. It's against someone else's religion. Yeah, sure. Childbirth as a beautiful, still experience, huh? Gimme a break!
The other night, I had a dream. I dreamed that I was in a Tom Cruise movie. As part of the script, I was to beat him about the head with a 2x4. (A real 2x4, and no stunt double either.) I awoke, feeling so happy and refreshed!

And the award for "Pandering to the Lowest Common Denominator" goes to...
...my course lecturer! Yes, some special acclaim is due to the man who found it necessary to say to his invisible students (in his best online lecture monotone voice):
"Now, before we begin, you will want to make sure that you have your lesson notes handy. And you will want to make sure that the lesson notes you have handy are the lesson notes that pertain to this course, that is: Financial Accounting 2."
I am really having a hard time justifying spending any time whatsoever in listening to my online lectures while J sleeps. I feel I should just go through the readings and skip over the lectures, if this is what they are all like. Perhaps I'll try again later ... when I'm in a more patient mood ... like a few decades from now ... patience is not one of my better known attributes.
